James Pennington
James is a proven technologist specialising in online marketing and is a sought afer event speaker within the West Midlands. He has spent the last 10 years working with small, medium and large business helping them to understand how technology can be used to gain an advantage within both the marketplace and the business.
Through delivering seminars, workshops and consultancy on the use of IT in a business to assist with growth James has been able to help companies grow and change the way they work.
His expertise is in Search Engine Marketing – Local and International, On-Line marketing, CRM implementation and definition, PPC definition, Web Site Usability and Assessment along with the typical business IT requirements such as Servers, Networks and Databases.
He has spent 9 years working as a Director and Lead IT Architect at the National B2B Centre (NB2BC) which has assited in developing a wide client portfolio of businesses across all sectors and sizes.
Previous to this James worked at the world renowned Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) based at the University of Warwick where he held many positions within the group. His roles focused on the application of Collaborative Working Tools within the Automotive Industry on European Projects with FIAT / TRW Steering Systems and Rover Group. This then lead to working within the CADCAM centre as an Implementation Consultant for PTC (Parametric Technology Corporation) implementing Data Management and Visualisation tools into UK based Manufacturing Companies such as BAe, Marconi and Thales.
More recently James has worked with WMG and BAe to assist in the specification of Digital Manufacturing Solutions into the BAe Submarine programmes to improve CAD data management and visualisation.
James is a regular event speaker for the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, UK Trade & Investment, Business Link West Midlands, The Institute of Business Consulting and Chartered Institute of Marketing along with a regular lecturer at the University of Warwick delivering content on On-Line Marketing and IT Strategy for Masters students.
